Basically, if you have only missed a small number of payments, sometimes your mortgage lender will just compile your missed payments back onto your balance. It’s all about the cash with your mortgage company. Ask them for their help so that you can send them what you owe. They won’t need to be reminded that they will end up doubling the money they lent you. If they have to sell your home at a foreclosure auction, they’ll end up taking a huge loss.
